Integrative Counselling in Bradworthy and Online.

Your living is determined not so much by what happens to you, but by the way your mind looks at what happens

- Kahlil Gibran

Welcome, and thank you for visiting Eksa Pomeroy Counselling.

We all face difficulties in our lives from time to time. Whether it is struggling with anxiety or self esteem, past trauma that is impacting our current thoughts and behaviours, or relationship problems. It’s a natural part of life. Talking to friends and family may help, but when you work with a professional, who is trained to listen and experienced in supporting people, it can help you understand yourself better, get to the root cause of your problems and find ways to manage your emotions so you can achieve your goals and fulfil your potential.

Hi, I’m Eksa, a qualified Integrative Counsellor based in Bradworthy on the Devon and Cornwall border. I provide counselling for individual adults on a short term or long term basis. I work with clients in person and online using a video platform like Zoom. Based in the rolling hills of North Devon, I also offer eco therapy, where clients can talk through their issues while enjoying all the benefits of being in nature.

How Counselling can help you?

Counselling provides you with the opportunity to step out of your busy life and focus on you and the issues that are preventing you from fulfilling your potential. In a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space, we can explore your struggles together, so you can achieve greater self awareness and work towards managing your emotions better. I am not here to fix you. I am here to walk alongside you, offering you a fresh perspective on your struggles and helping you find your own answers from within. This way, you can move towards greater independence and living your life in the way that you want to.

Talk it

Counselling gives you a chance to express your thoughts and emotions in a safe and non-judgmental space, and you can gain a different perspective when you hear yourself out loud! The counselling process can help you develop resilience and coping skills, which can improve your overall mental health and well-being.

Walk it

If you're looking for a unique and beneficial therapeutic experience, you might want to consider trying Eco Therapy. This type of therapy involves walking side by side with me in a natural outdoor setting while discussing your concerns, goals, or challenges. Eco Therapy is suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels and can be particularly beneficial for those who find it difficult to sit still for extended periods or who feel uneasy in a traditional office setting.

Tap it

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a powerful science-backed method that helps release a sense of being emotionally stuck. EFT works through a gentle tapping on certain parts of your body.

As an experience counsellor and compassionate EFT Practitioner, I offer bespoke session to combine both the body and the mind during my EFT sessions. I currently am working towards to becoming an accredited EFT practitioner. I invite you to take the first step toward a happier, more peaceful life.

Working with Me

Initial Consultation

Before we begin working together, we can have a free 30 minute initial consultation, either over the phone or on Zoom to find out what brings you to counselling and what you’d like to achieve. I will find out a little more about you, your background and your experiences to see if I can help you. It is also an ideal opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about counselling so you feel comfortable and confident should we decide to move forward. At the end of the consultation, we can decide if we are a good therapeutic fit and arrange your first appointment.

My Approach

As an integrative counsellor, I may draw upon a range of approaches in our sessions together. The approaches I use depend entirely on you and your situation, so this means that you get a completely personalised service, tailored to your unique circumstances and goals.

Get in touch

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how counselling works, or to arrange an initial free consultation. This enables us to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

You can also call me on +44 7752121741 if you would prefer to leave a message or speak to me first. I am happy to discuss any queries or questions you may have prior to arranging an initial appointment.

All enquires are usually answered within 24 hours, and all contact is strictly confidential.

What happens after I make an enquiry?

Once you reach out, I’ll aim to respond within 48 hours, usually by email or phone, depending on what suits you best. We can then arrange a time for an initial session or a short phone call to gently explore what you’re looking for and how I might support you.

Who do you work with?

I work with adults (18 and over) from all backgrounds and experiences. Whether you’re facing something specific or just feeling a bit lost or overwhelmed, you’re very welcome here.

What happens at our first session?

Our first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s brought you to therapy, any hopes or concerns you might have, and how we might work together. There’s no pressure, you’re free to go at your own pace, and I’ll be there to support you each step of the way.

What if I’m not sure counselling is right for me?

That’s completely okay — and a very normal feeling. You’re welcome to come for an initial session with no obligation to continue. We can simply explore together what you’re needing right now and whether therapy feels like the right support for you.

How soon can I start therapy?

I’ll always try to offer you a first appointment as soon as I can. I have availability during weekday evenings and some weekends, and we’ll find a time that fits around your life.

Will we decide on a therapy approach straight away?

There’s no need to rush. The first few sessions are about understanding you, what’s going on for you and what you need. From there, we can decide together on the best way forward, in a way that feels right for you.

What are your fees?

My fee is £ 55.00 per session. If you have any questions or concerns around this, I’m always open to a conversation

How do I pay?

You can pay by bank transfer, and I’ll send you the details once we’ve confirmed your first session. I usually ask for payment before each session. You can also pay when you book the appointment on the calendar.

How many sessions will I need?

Everyone’s journey is different. Some people come for just a few sessions, while others find longer-term support helpful. We’ll regularly check in together to make sure therapy is working for you and meeting your needs.

Is everything I share confidential?

Yes—what you share is treated with care and respect. There are a few rare exceptions (such as if there’s serious risk of harm), and I’ll explain these fully in our first session so you know exactly where you stand.

How do I book a session?

You can get in touch by emailing me at eksa.pomeroy@icloud.com or using the contact form on my website. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can so we can find a time that works for you.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

I completely understand that life can be unpredictable. I just ask for at least 48 hours’ notice so I can offer the time to someone else. If it’s less than 48 hours, the full session fee may still apply.
